Day three of the Iowa Girls and Boys state tack and field meet is taking place in Des Moines today with Mid-Prairie girls participating in two events.

At 2:15 p.m. freshman Anna Hostetler will be challenging runners in the 1500 meter run. Last week in Tipton Hostetler recorded a time of 4:56.95. The time was the third best in Class 2A.

At 3:05 p.m the Mid-Prairie girls’ will be competing in the finals in the 4×100 meter relay. Athletes include senior Lexi Duwa, junior Emily Cayton, sophomore Ali Butters, and junior Alex Rath. They took second place in yesterday preliminary event to qualify for today’s final heat.
