A new summer camp is coming to Washington and registration is due next week. Kirkwood for Kids is a four-day summer program where students in 1st through 8th grades can take a specialized class. The programs are divided by age group, with middle school students selecting a class to focus on. So far over 120 students have signed up.
Tera Pickens, director of the Kirkwood Washington Regional Center, explains transportation is available to and from communities throughout the county with school buses contracted with Washington Community Schools.
Registration can be done online or in person and is due May 29th for the summer camp held 9 a.m. to noon June 22nd through 25th. For more information listen to the full interview with Pickens here.
