The Kirkwood Washington Regional Center has officially been recognized as a Project Lead the Way site. Tera Pickens, director of the regional center, explains they recently had their site visit where classrooms and programs are observed and they were notified the same day that they had been recognized.

Having the Project Lead the Way is a national certification and allows the center to offer certain programs including concurrent credit courses, which can then transfer the credits to other institutions. Concurrent credit courses are available to high school students who earn both high school credit and college credit at the same time for one class.
