At this time last year 29 percent of Iowa was in moderate drought with over 58 percent of the state abnormally dry, but currently less than one percent of the state is experiencing any drought conditions. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, only 0.69 percent of Iowa, in the northwest corner, is abnormally dry. Last week, nearly nine percent of the state was abnormally dry.

Currently, about 88 percent of Minnesota is abnormally dry and 24.7 percent is in moderate drought, while 68 percent of Wisconsin is abnormally dry. Missouri is experiencing conditions similar to Iowa, with only 2.64 percent of the Show-Me State abnormally dry.
