With the regular season of spring soccer dwindling down the Mid-Prairie boys’ soccer team (8-5) head to Highland to take on the Huskies.

The Golden Hawks played the Huskies in Wellman last month and the Golden Hawks took the victory 3-1. In that win, Mid-Prairie had goals from seniors Anthony Gingerich, Matt McGaffey and Jarrett Truit.

The Golden Hawks’ senior Jordan Ulin leads the team with 10 goals. Sophomore goalkeeper Nathan Reed is at 88 saves so far this season with and saves three of every four shots taken on him.

Highland has scored over 50 goals on the season next to Mid-Prairie’s 29.

Highland is led by senior Bryan Garcia with 21 goals scored on the season. He leads the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North in total goals. Teammate senior Jesse Wollrab has 13 goals, third best in the conference. Sophomore goalkeeper Partick Wood has 48 saves with a 66 save percentage.

This match up of the Golden Hawks and Huskies will begin at 7 p.m. tonight at Highland.
