Mid-Prairie High School is among the best in the state according to a new study. The school ranks second in Iowa, behind John F. Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids and ahead of West Senior High School in Iowa City, which is ranked third. According to superintendent Mark Schneider, the ranking is based on a variety of criteria. State exam results and student performance in Advanced Placement classes played a factor.
