After getting swept by the West Branch Bears (2-0) on Tuesday, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team (0-2) is looking for their first win of the year as they travel to Highland (1-0) to take on the Huskies.

In their doubleheader against West Branch on Tuesday they mustered only two runs in 14 innings, with runners junior Adam Schrock and senior Jackson Yoder scoring. Schrock had three hits combined in both games with Yoder getting two. Mid-Prairie lost 4-2 in the first game and also in the second 3-0.

Mid-Prairie will look to also get more hits in this game. In their first two games the Golden Hawks were only able to connect on five hits. Four athletes come into Highland who have pitched already this season. Sophomore Derek Rich pitched the majority of game one pitching five innings in the first game giving up two runs. Jared Miller pitched the second game giving up three runs.

Highland had a good start to the season winning their opening game against Danville 14-4.

This non-conference battle with Mid-Prairie and Highland begins at 7 p.m. at Highland High School.
