The Mid-Prairie boys’ soccer team (8-6) traveled to Highland (10-5) last night for their final regular season game. One goal was the deciding factor as Highland took the victory over Mid-Prairie, 1-0.

Highland’ senior Bryan Garcia scored within the first 10 minutes of play and the Golden Hawks were down the rest of the match. Garcia’s goal was his 24th to finish the regular season. Sophomore goalkeeper Patrick Wood had 10 saves to finish out the contest.

Mid-Prairie was shut out for the third time this season.

The Golden Hawks will next have their first round of the postseason match as they take on the Solon Spartans (10-8) on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Solon.
