The Washington Tree Committee will be handing out 110 trees tomorrow morning to be planted in the area. The committee does this with grant assistance from the Washington Betterment Foundation. This year the committee has swamp white oak, tulip, eastern white pine, prairie horizon alder, linden, tulip and Canaan fir trees for distribution.
The event starts at 8 a.m. and will be finished by 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Residents are invited to go to the east side of Central Park in downtown Washington to pick up a tree.
