A Republican who has announced his candidacy for President of the United States and one who plans to will be in southeast Iowa today. Rand Paul is scheduled to speak on the Fairfield square and meet with supporters this afternoon. The U.S. Senator from Kentucky said on April 7th that he would be running for president.
Meanwhile, Rick Perry will be in Keota for State Representative Jarad Klein’s first “Pork and Politics” event at Wooden Wheel Vineyards. The former governor of Texas is expected to announce his candidacy on June 4th.
