The boys’ soccer teams of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference battle for league supremacy over the next two days. The 2015 SEISC Soccer Tournament kicks off this evening across the region with four quarterfinal games highlighting tonight’s action.

The Highland Huskies (7-4 overall) are the top seed from the SEISC North and welcome the Central Lee Hawks (1-9 overall) at Highland High School. The Huskies defeated the Hawks 6-0 on April 28 in Riverside. Senior Bryan Garcia is third in Class 1A in goals scored, putting 20 goals in the back of the net.

The Columbus Wildcats (5-6 overall) are the second seed from the north division and host the Notre Dame Nikes (3-8 overall) at Columbus High School. The Wildcats were victorious over the Nikes 8-3 on April 16 in Burlington. Columbus sophomore Ruben Paz is second in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference in goals scored, depositing 17 goals in the net.

The Iowa Mennonite School (4-6 overall) has received the third seed from the north division, and travels to Fort Madison to face off against the Holy Trinity Crusaiders (9-3 overall). IMS fell to Holy Trinity in Fort Madison 5-0 on April 14. Senior goalkeeper Kobi Russom has 99 saves heading into tonight’s game.

The Danville Bears host the final quarterfinal match against the Wapello Indians (1-8 overall) at Danville High School. Danville cruised by Wapello 11-1 on April 13 in Danville.

Tonight’s games all kick off at 5 p.m. with the winners of the quarterfinal matches advancing to Saturday’s semifinal round at Highland High School.
