A food drive conducted by the National Association of Letter Carriers will happen in Washington one week from today. Andy Miller, a letter carrier for 20 years, explains each year the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is conducted with letter carriers picking up non-perishable items. Miller says about one ton of food, or 2,000 pounds, is picked up annually, along with about $600 in monetary donations. All donations will go to the Church of God food pantry in Washington.

Residents are asked to leave canned goods or new toiletry items by mailboxes for pick up next Saturday, May 9th.
