In five days Washington’s inaugural Summer Classic will begin in Central Park. Each day of the event has a different theme, starting with agriculture day Thursday and a tractor parade coinciding with the weekly farmers market. Michelle Redlinger, director of the Washington Chamber of Commerce, explains Friday is Family Heritage Day; Saturday is Ridiculous Day followed by Tribute Night with concerts at the airport; and Sunday is American Classic with church in Central Park followed by Latino Night.

The event is a spinoff of last year’s week-long 175th celebration in Washington. For more information listen to the full interview with Redlinger here: part 1 and part 2.
