Relays have been a strong point for the WACO girls’ track team all spring and they will be taking three relay teams and one individual event to Des Moines thanks to their performances at home in the regional track meet last Thursday.

The 4×100 shuttle hurdle relay team comes in with the 12th best qualifying time in Class 1A with athletes sophomores Mckenna White, Kasey Sutton and seniors Jennie Greene and Angelique Frier.

The 4×100 meter relay team is a senior led group for the Warriors heading to state with a ahtletes, Greene, Jalyssa Jepson, Tribly Frier and Angelique Frier. The team comes in with the 16th best time in Class 1A.

The third relay team is the 4×200 with Kissell, Jepson, Greene and Trilby Frier. The team has the 12th best time heading to Des Moines in Class 1A with a time of 1:51.58.

The lone individual event the Warriors will take to state is the 100 meter dash with Angelique Frier who ran it in 13.43 seconds. Her time just squeaked her into Des Moines with the 21st best time in Class 1A.
