For the second straight night, the Washington Demon baseball team relinquished a multiple run lead. Washington traveled to Tiffin Wednesday evening for a non-conference showdown with the Clear Creek-Amana Clippers. The Clippers would score nine unanswered runs, defeating the Demons 9-3.

Washington gained an early lead in the top of the first thanks to two RBI singles by Dakota Kron and Tanner Renox, giving the Demons a 3-0 advantage.

The Demons held the Clippers off the scoreboard until the fourth inning, tying the score at 3-3. The Clippers added two runs in the fifth and four in the sixth to push the final score to 9-3.

The setback drops the Demons to 0-2 overall. Washington returns to the diamond tomorrow evening in Donnelson against the Central Lee Hawks (0-0 overall).
