Voters in the Washington Community School District can now vote in a special election. Sue Meeks, Washington County Elections Administrator, announced absentee ballots are now available for the June 30th special election. The election is being held in Washington’s school district to approve $2.3 million in general obligation bonds. Those who would like to vote absentee may do so early in person at the Washington County Auditor’s Office or a ballot can be mailed to a voter if requested.
The proposed bonds would be used to help fund the construction of a preschool wing addition to Stewart Elementary School.
