Work on Kalona’s Maintenance Shop is nearly done. An addition has been attached to the building at 711 A Avenue and existing rooms have been renovated. According to city administrator Ryan Schlabaugh, the project is nearly done. He says the crew is working on finishing touches, like the installation of outlets and lighting. The project, which began last year, was recently accepted by the city council for a total cost of $105,750.
