Karyn Renee Mehaffy

Friday evening a 16-year-old girl was abducted in Winfield. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, at about 7:53 p.m. the Winfield Police Department and the sheriff’s office responded to a report of an abduction in the 300 block of South Olive Street in Winfield. It was reported that 16-year-old Karyn Renee Mehaffy was taken by three subjects in a dark blue SUV. The make and model of the vehicle is unknown.

Mehaffy is described as 5’3″ tall, 130 pounds, blonde with blue/green bangs, green eyes and tan complexion. She was last seen wearing green skinny jeans and a black sleeveless shirt.

According to Iowa’s missing persons information, the incident type is classified as “endangered/physical.” Mehaffy is possibly in the company of Wilfredo Martinez Gonzalez. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact local law enforcement or the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, it was attempted to issue an Amber Alert but the case did not meet the criteria.
