The Kalona Chamber’s annual summer celebration is a few days away. Activities planned for Kalona Days Saturday include a fun run, parade and live music, as well as a Brinton Film presentation led by historian Michael Zahs.
Residents and local businesses interested in helping out have a couple of options. According to chamber president Collette Yoder, monetary donations are welcome and they can always use more volunteers for events such as the fun run. She adds donations help them keep the kids activities free, giving families a chance to enjoy themselves without spending a lot of money.
