The Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) has finished assigning their postseason groupings for Classes 3A and 4A. The Washington Demon baseball team (5-10 overall) is among the eight teams competing in the Class 3A Substate 5 bracket.

Joining the Demons in the bracket includes: Benton (record), Clear Creek-Amana (record), Grinnell (record), South Tama County (record), Union LaPorte City (record), Vinton-Shellsburg (record), and Williamsburg (record).

Substate pairings will be released at a later date.
