Two Washington County baseball teams will make the trip to Cedar Rapids tonight. The Washington Demon (5-12 overall) and Highland Huskies (11-6 overall) are schedule to square off at Veterans Memorial Stadium, the home of the Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball team.

Washington enters tonight’s game with a record of 5-12 overall, dropping their last four games. The Demons’ haven’t fared well in non-conference play so far this season, posting a 1-4 record against team’s outside the Southeast Conference. The Demons were last on the field Monday evening in Washington, dropping a pair of Southeast Conference tilts, 7-3 and 11-2.

Highland enters tonight’s game off of a tough one run loss to the Lousia-Muscatine Falcons on Monday evening, falling 6-5. Nine of the 11 runs in the game were scored in the final inning.

Both teams played the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks this season. The Huskies dropped their game with the Golden Hawks 12-2 on May 29, while Washington lost 10-3 in Wellman on June 16.
