Following a ceremony yesterday, ground was officially broken by seven golden shovels for the $10.5 million project at Halcyon House in Washington. Seven spoke at the ceremony, including Chris Marshall of Halcyon House who provided the welcome. Washington Mayor Sandra Johnson shared words of thanks for WesleyLife growing their community in Washington.

The project includes three 18-bed households with each household specialized in memory care, long-term care, and short-term rehabilitation. The project was partially funded by a $750,000 Washington County Riverboat Foundation grant.
