Tomorrow morning ground will be broken for a $10.5 million project in Washington. Halcyon House is beginning an addition and renovation project with the ceremony at 10 a.m. tomorrow. The project includes replacing its original health center with three 18-bed households. Each household will focus on specialized care for memory care, long-term care, and short-term rehabilitation. In addition, the project includes renovating common spaces, new independent living amenity spaces and a renovated entrance.

The project received a $750,000 grant from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation last fall.

Halcyon House is part of WesleyLife, a nonprofit with seven locations including Washington, Des Moines and Pella, and provides senior living and healthcare services.
