Tonight is the start of the 2015 baseball season for the Iowa Mennonite School baseball as they play their home opener taking on the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves.

IMS comes into the year looking to replace a good portion of their offensive production losing seven athletes who accumulated 151 of their team’s 196 hits last year.

IMS does have pitcher Kirby Shelter back for his senior year. Shelter was 3-2 as a starter his junior year with 36 strike outs and an earn run average of 2.10.

Winfield-Mt. Union is off to a good start so far this season going 2-0 in their first two games, winning at Columbus Community 17-3, and at home against Lone Tree 3-2.
