The Iowa Mennonite School baseball team (2-5) will start the week with a doubleheader today at Wayland against the WACO Warriros (1-10).

IMS’s sophomore Drake Brezina has become a solid hitter for the team. He is third on the team in hits with eight, tied for first in doubles with two, and leads with two triples. Senior pitcher Peyton Miller leads the team in strike outs with 18.

WACO has lost their last four games by a combined total of 59-3. The Warriors’ BJ Rodgers leads the team in hits with nine and in runs with eight. Sophomore Gabe Black leads the team in batting average with .318. Freshman pitcher Jacob Fried leads the team in strike outs with 18.

The first game of the doubleheader begins at 5:30 p.m. in Wayland.
