Looking for their first win of the season the Iowa Mennonite School softball team (0-8) is hosting a conference opponent in the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons (6-6) today.

IMS’s defense has struggled this year giving up runs. In seven of their eight loses they have given up at least 10 runs. Freshman Hannah Harris has been the work horse on the pitching mound, pitching 34 of the 36 innings for IMS. She has nine strike outs so far this season.

Louisa-Muscatine’s sophomore Randyn Carter comes in with the top batting average in the Southeast Super Conference North at .636. She is also tied for first in doubles with seven and tied for second in the conference in runs batted in with 14. Falcon pitcher freshman Olivia Howell leads the team in strikeouts with 26.

The game starts at 5:30 p.m. today at the Iowa Mennonite School.
