On his first 2016 presidential campaign stop in Iowa, former Republican governor of Florida, Jeb Bush met with supporters in Washington Wednesday morning. Bush spoke of his tenure as governor, his family, and current frustrations with Washington, D.C. He also spoke of his ability to cut many government jobs while leading Florida.

After his speech, Bush answered questions from the audience. One question was asked about restoring the feeling of being safe in the U.S., to which he said the U.S. needs to be an international leader and restore funding to the military that was cut due to the sequester.

The event was held in a private residence’s backyard with State Representatives Jarad Klein and Dave Heaton in attendance.
