A Southeast Iowa Super Conference clash turned into a one sided affair Tuesday evening in rural Kalona. The Iowa Mennonite School baseball team (2-6 overall) battled the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons (6-5 overall) in a single conference clash. Louisa-Muscatine produced a dozen runs, shutting out IMS 12-0 in six innings.

IMS’s offense was held to three hits over six innings, two coming off the bat of senior Payton Miller. Sophomore Drake Brezina collected a single and stole two bases. Brezina also pitched five of IMS’s six innings last night, allowing seven runs (five earned), on 10 hits, a walk and struck out seven Falcons in the setback.

The loss drops the Iowa Mennonite School to 2-6 overall. IMS steps out of conference this afternoon, hosting the West Branch Bears at 3 p.m.
