The season for the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks girls soccer team (5-9 overall) came to a close Friday evening in West Point. The Golden Hawks battled in the Class 1A Region 8 soccer tournament versus the Holy Trinity Crusaders. The Crusaders would come away with the victory with a score of 4-1.

Mid-Prairie’s lone goal came from senior Sage Becker who scored her first goal of the season on a penalty kick against Columbus on Tuesday. Senior goalkeeper Cassidy Bontrager recorded 26 saves in the game.

Holy Trinity’s senior Kristen Brinck scored three goals in the win with freshman Maya Rashid scoring the team’s final goal.

Mid-Prairie finishes the season with a 5-9 record.
