In the first five days of June, Washington did not receive any rainfall. According to the National Weather Service, the normal amount of rainfall for Washington during that time period is approximately three-quarters of an inch. The average normal temperature has been 2.5 degrees below the normal 66.7 degrees.

So far this year Washington has received 10.23 inches of precipitation, below the normal 13.5 inches.

Also, less than one percent of Iowa is experiencing any type of drought conditions.
