Final Performance of 70, Girls, 70 Tonight

The Washington Community Theater’s final performance of 70, Girls, 70 will be held tonight. The musical comedy set in the 1970’s will be on stage at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Community Center. Nancy Salemink, who plays the ringleader Ida, shares the story is about a group of people who live in a retirement hotel which is going to be sold and they come up with a way to buy the building by going beyond the law. The show features many veteran actors from the community.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online at WCTheater and by phone.

Memorial services for 65-year old Pat Grover of Sigourney will be held at 1PM on Saturday (6/27)at Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Oskaloosa. Burial will be at Doggett Cemetery in rural Sigourney at 10AM on Friday (6/26) and visitation will be from 2PM-8PM on Friday at the Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney where family will be present from 5PM until 8PM. There will also be a service at 7:30PM on Friday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for Gateway Church of the Nazarene, and tributes can be left a www.powellfuneralhomes.com
