Washington Totals Nearly Seven Inches of Rain in June

Washington has received nearly seven inches of rain this June, with one day left in the month to record precipitation. The normal amount for June is 4.7 inches and Washington has observed 6.89 inches of rain. The record amount was set in 1930 with 13.5 inches of rain. Monday three-tenths of an inch of rain fell in Washington.

The average maximum temperature has been 80 degrees this month, about two degrees below normal, and the average minimum temperature observed is 60.4 degrees, while the normal is 59.2 degrees. The overall average temperature recorded this month was 70.2 degrees, while the normal is 70.5 degrees.
