Thirty-two students from Washington attended the Washington Regional Alternative Program, or WRAP, this past school year. Veta Thode, curriculum director for the district, provided a review at this week’s school board meeting. She said this year Washington had 10 seniors in the program graduate.

In addition, two students took some college classes, three were in academies the entire year and three more students were enrolled in an academy one semester. Next year seven Washington WRAP students will be in academies at the Kirkwood center.

WRAP is now located in the Kirkwood Washington Regional Center and the program is open to the other partner districts in the area.
