Barn quilts, photography, abstract art, and watercolors are just some of the types of art that can be viewed in downtown Washington at this time. The art on display is part of Washington’s annual Gallery Walk which has area artists’ work in the windows of businesses on the square. Braden Carroll, a semi-driver from Columbus Junction, is one of those artists. He currently has four multi-media pieces on display that took about a year and a half to complete.

The Gallery Walk comes to a close tomorrow with Celebrate Washington. The Saturday event features an auction of the LET’s Center’s tubular transformation projects, as well as the Flying Pigs duathlon, food trucks and a street dance in the evening.
