Bids are being accepted for Kalona’s B Avenue project. The city council has set the bid letting for Monday, July 27th. A recommendation will be made to the council on which contractor to move forward with at a public hearing on August 3rd. The mill and overlay of B Avenue from Highway 1 to 4th Street is the city’s biggest project for the current fiscal year and is expected to cost up to $175,000.
