The 19th Annual Brinton Film Festival is being held tonight and tomorrow at the Ainsworth Opera House. According to the organizer, Michael Zahs, the shows will feature films that haven’t been shown to the public for over a century.

Zahs, who will serve as narrator, will share some recent developments related to the collection that was originally part of Washington County couple Frank and Indiana Brinton’s traveling show. He says the word is spreading, adding he’s being contacted by prominent figures in the film industry and film experts as far away as Paris.

Doors open at 7 p.m. both nights. To learn more, listen to the second half of our conversation with Zahs during today’s In Touch with Southeast Iowa. For the first portion, click here.
