The second meeting covering career services, financial counseling, and community resources in the area will be held tomorrow. The Kirkwood Washington Regional Center is hosting these meetings, which are aimed at helping people with sudden career changes transition within the community. Director of the center, Tera Pickens, explains, the meeting is open to anyone in the community and may be helpful for those effected by businesses being closed.

In April, Modine Manufacturing Company announced plans to close its plant in Washington, impacting about 245 full-time employees.

Pickens adds there will also be information about finances and debt consolidation provided by local financial institutions. The goal of the meeting is to help skilled employees make transitions locally, says Pickens. The meeting will be held tomorrow, July 24th, at 2:45 p.m. at the regional center.
