Class 1A District 9

Pekin drubs Keota, 13-5
– Pekin’s six runs in the top of the second gave the Panthers an early cushion.
– Pekin’s Ryan Swanson slammed two home runs and drove in three RBI’s in the victory.
– Keota’s season comes to a close at 9-17 overall
– Pekin improves to 18-7 and will face the Lone Tree Lions (17-9 overall) in the district championship game tonight.

Notre Dame edges Winfield-Mount Union, 5-3
-Notre Dame advances to face the Van Buren Warriors in the district championship game tonight.
