Grand Champions Selected at the Washington County Fair

Today is the final day of the 2015 Washington County Fair and it will come to an end with the demolition derby at 7 p.m. Many 4-H and FFA students presented projects and livestock at this year’s fair. Here is a highlight of some of the animal awards:
Grand Champion breeding beef female – Conner Eichelberger
Grand Champion market lamb – Madison Sheetz
Overall Grand Champion market swine – Taylor Brinning
Grand Champion commercial meat goat doe/wether – Haley Sweeting
Grand Champion market beef – McKenna Brinning

The top livestock senior judge was Macy Marek and the top senior team members were Marek, Kieffer Sexton, Logan Sieren and Brinning. In the dog obedience category the overall grand champion is Lexi Black and the champion pet went to Dakota Mayberry’s rabbit. In the horse and pony show the champion senior showmanship at halter was awarded to Anna Pence and Maysan Lee was the champion in the barrel race; also Katie Kreutz received the Ray Bonar Memorial trophy and Austin Stalder was presented the Louie Memorial Award.
