A Washington County 4-H club was selected as one of 15 clubs across the state for a grant for a community improvement project. The Green Acres 4-H Club was awarded $420 by DuPont Pioneer Seeds and the Iowa 4-H Foundation for their community improvement project.
The club’s members will take part in scraping the old paint off of the walls and then prime and repaint the interior of the Old School House building on the Washington County Fairgrounds. The building is used during the fair for open class exhibits.
The Green Acres club was established last summer.
