Henry County residents impacted by the recent flooding are eligible for financial assistance. Governor Terry Branstad has issued a disaster proclamation for 17 counties. Those living in 10 of those counties, including Henry County, can take advantage of the Iowa Individual Assistance Program. Grants of up to $5,000 are available for families that meet certain income limits. They can be used for home or car repairs, replacement of clothing or food, and temporary housing. Applicants have until mid-August to submit a claim.
