A battle of top 10 ranked Southeast Iowa Super Conference North teams took place Wednesday evening in Riverside. The No. 1 Highland Huskies (18-4 overall) squared off against the No. 7 Wapello Arrows (23-6) for sole possession of first place in the conference. Highland allowed a single run in the set of games, downing the Arrows 5-0 in game one and 4-1 in game two.

The victories were the third and fourth of the week for Highland, who has outscored their opponents this week 31-1. Both the Huskies and Arrows came into last night’s competition with a single loss in the SEISC North.

Highland’s overall record improves to 19-4, and the Huskies return to competition tonight, hosting the Pekin Panters (6-14 overall) at 7 p.m.
