The IMS softball team’s (1-17) season came to an end last night, with a 5-1 loss to HLV (13-11) in regional action.

IMS received another good pitching performance from freshman Hannah Harris who allowed just four hits while going the distance. The damage was done by Warrior center fielder Kate Schaeffer who slugged a pair of home runs over the right field fence, the second coming with a pair of runners aboard, accounting for four of the HLV runs.

IMS was unable to string hits together during the contest, resulting in just one run, even though they were able to outhit the Warriors five to four on the night.

IMS fielded a young team this season, with just three seniors on the roster. Summer Schrock, Stasia Majerick and Demi Brezina played their final game for IMS last night.
