The sole senior of the Lone Tree Lions softball team is receiving statewide recognition for her play this summer. The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) has named Makenzie Reynolds a Class 1A All-State honorable mention.

Reynolds, named a first team all-conference utility player earlier this month, led the Lions in batting average (.375), on base percentage (.511), slugging percentage (.556), home runs (2), and walks forced (19). She also tied for the team lead in doubles (5) and was second on the squad in hits (27) and runs batted in (19). She played four different positions during the 2015 season, including second base, third base, catcher, and left field.

Lone Tree ended the softball season with an 8-20 overall record.
