The lone senior on the Lone Tree Lion softball team (8-20 overall) received high honors from the coaches of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference (SEISC). MacKenzie Reynolds represents the Lions on the first team All-SEISC team as a utility player. Reynolds led the Lions in batting average (.375), on base percentage (.511), slugging percentage (.556), home runs (2), and walks forced (19). She also tied for the team lead in doubles (5) and was second on the squad in hits (27) and runs batted in (19).

A trio of Lion softball players earned second team all-conference honors. Junior Morgyn Edwards was selected by the SEISC coaches as a second team pitcher. Edwards threw 134 of Lone Tree’s 176 innings pitched this past season, earning an 8-15 record and posting a 3.24 earned run average. Eighth grader Chloe Jacque was chosen as a second team all-conference infielder. Jacque finished first on the team in runs scored (24), and tied for the team lead in hits (29). Junior Hailey Comer rounds out the Lions’ second team all-conference selections as a utility player. Comer tied for the team lead in doubles (5) and was second on the team in walks forced (16).

Junior Hannah Johnson and freshman Marisa Swails were named all-conference honorable mention selections.

Lone Tree finished the softball season with an 8-20 overall record, including going 6-10 against Southeast Iowa Super Conference North opponents.
