Farm, family, food and fun is the theme of the 123rd Annual Louisa County Fair. The fair began Sunday and concludes Saturday, with the final event scheduled being the demo derby at 7 p.m. Today is senior citizen day at the fair, and among the 4-H and FFA shows planned, the Columbus Junction Library is holding a reading event on the youth center porch at 10 a.m. and there will be bingo inside the youth center at 2 p.m. A presentation on the history of Louisa County presented by member of the county’s genealogical society, Frank Best, and a free supper sponsored by Channel Seed are also scheduled for day four of the fair.
