Temperatures are forecats to be in the 80’s much of the week and with warm temperatures come parasites. Amber Talbot, director of PAWS and More animal shelter in Washington, reminds people to use preventative care for their pets to prevent flea, tick and mosquito bites. These insects can carry diseases. Talbot adds it is best to not shave your pets in the summer as the hair allows cats and dogs to help cool themselves. Also, remember to not leave your pet in a car, and while at home provide plenty of water.
