2014 Washington County Fair – photos by Sally Hart

The Washington County Fair kicks off Sunday. The mud run will be held at 1 p.m. and will be followed by the dog obedience show at 4 and the garden tractor pull at 6 p.m. The Washington County Fair Queen contest starts at 7 p.m. and this year there are 10 contestants. And at 8 p.m. Conway Seavey will be on stage.

Area 4-H and FFA students have been preparing projects and livestock for the fair for months and will come to the fairgrounds throughout the week to present their hard work. Lindsey Palmer with the Limecreek Limelights in Wellman shares others should consider joining 4-H to strengthen communication and citizenship skills. Palmer will be conducting a rabbit workshop at 2 p.m. Monday.
