Nearly 100 Washington High School students took part in marching band camp to prepare for the upcoming season. Director of the band, Don Hughes, shares this year’s field show is titled Dante’s Descent, which is based on the first book of the Divine Comedy and Dante’s journeys through the underworld.

This year’s drum majors are Aylin Raymundo and Carolan Hoffman. Raymundo shares it is different to see the progression from the drum major’s stand than as part of the band marching on the field. Hoffman shared her favorite part of the marching season is seeing the show and band come together.

The band will be performing at halftime of the home football games and taking part in area competitions. For more information listen to the full interview click here.
