Five athletes from the Iowa Mennonite School are competing this year for spots on the Clear Creek Amana football team.

Since IMS doesn’t offer football as a varsity sport, their students play with the Clear Creek Amana squad, thanks to an agreement between the schools. This year, five IMS students are active in football. Clipper co-head coach Matt Hughes says two of the IMS athletes are expected to be big contributors to this year’s team. Junior Drake Brezina is currently in a battle for the starting quarterback position, he also plays defensive back. Also expected to get plenty of playing time is another junior, Justin Litwiller. He plays on the offensive line and at linebacker on defense.

Clear Creek Amana was 7-3 a year ago, they open their season at home against Center Point-Urbana.
